Email Usage
ALL staff and students must be cautious in their use of e-mails and maintain a professional style of writing at all times. In particular, no derogatory, defamatory, or unjustified criticism should appear in e-mails sent using the University e-mail server.
It must be remembered that under the subject access provisions of the Data Protection Act 1998, an individual is entitled to apply to see copies of any personal data which is held. This personal data will include any emails which are contained on an individual's file and meet the criteria of
personal data.
